European Union Headquarters Brussels, Belgium 1994-1998 This project has as its primary goal the reurbanization renovation and transformation of the existing Charlemagne building circa 1968, into a current, functionally, efficient, urban responsive headquarters building for the European Union.The existing Charlemagne building is a product of the 1960's propensity for the object type building. Where in the building is set back from and disassociated for the urban patterns of streets and blocks. Constructionally repetitive strictly modular structural bays dictate the form of the building. Its situation on a podium while resolving the site slope further disassociates the building from its urban situation.

Deutsch Post Bonn, Germany 1997-2003 This 160 meter high, forty floor tower with base building stands at the edge of the city adjacent to the Rhein River. Its base completes the upper terrace of a river park. A series of grand ramps and stairs connect to the lower terrace near the Rhine. The split, shifted oval tower is oriented to the Rhine and the city, facilitating views from the city and minimizing negative wind effects through its aerodynamic shape. In plan the split oval wedges are separated by a 7.40 m wide space. The connecting glass floors at 9-story intervals form skygardens, which serve as communication floors and elevator crossovers.

IIT Student Housing Chicago, Illinois 2001-2003 The IIT campus is endowed with a preponderance of divisive north-south barriers. The elevated train, State Street, and the expressway are relentlessly axial. It remains essential to the goal of a cohesive campus environment that east-west axis are developed, both in terms of protected circulation routes and in terms of a unifying overlay providing counterpoint to the existing north-south schisms.The project will define the East edge of the Campus Quadrangle. Forming and defending this open space as the locus of the academic campus will be an essential component of a successful residential development.
